Check out one of the most fun and fastest space race experience, Kickstarter exclusives, stretch goals, social goals, and the story of the game.

REACH is a tactical space-race game with deckbuilding and worker placement mechanics for 2-4 players. Each player starts the game with an insufficient ship and an inexperienced crew. Your task is to complete missions, upgrade your ship and expand your crew as you work your way to the ultimate destination.

Race against other players, secretly assign your crew, prepare for surprises, and plan your moves carefully to get the upper hand.

Commanders! We Are At T-24h and Your Crew is Ready For The Launch 🚀 And a Letter From A Crew Member

And here is a letter from your junior scientist Miranda Lin;

This is the last day! Humanity’s last day on Earth.

Tomorrow, we will take on a journey to get to our new home planet.

And I’ve been dreaming of this day, all my life.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that I don’t like Earth. I like Earth but you know we all have dreams. Mine was to become an astronaut and reach the stars. I wanted to explore new planets, search through new galaxies, and reach new horizons that none of us went before.

This dream led me to study science but my studies were interrupted during my first class when our sun started to bombard the Earth with electromagnetic bursts. The internet slowed down beyond return and we weren't able to use the internet properly. We’ve lost social media, online shopping, streaming services, and funny cat videos.

I remember that I waited in front of the computer for three hours to order a fried chicken. We’ve been forced to cook at home or get out from home to grab some food? The civilization we know was on the brink of extinction.

When USC, United Space Center, announced that they had found a planet that looked exactly like Earth and planned a journey to reach it, everyone got so excited to have faster internet, again. However, I was excited about something else. I was excited to be able to onboard a spaceship and see the stars. Even though they will put me on a cryo sleep and wake me up when we reach the planet, it was exhilarating to think about being inside of a spaceship.

But then, it got more interesting.

After 4 big space companies built their ships, USC started to look for professional crews to command these spaceships. And then the realization came: Humanity was still just a Junior when it came to space. We haven’t trained enough people for such a task, we weren’t ready for such a journey. It was the time that we started to lose all our hope.

Therefore, USC made the logical decision and decided to get volunteers as crew members to not lose any more time on this barren planet. In the end, volunteers have always been good enough like professionals… Sometimes even better.

I couldn’t lose that chance. Registration opened and I’ve submitted it. I wasn’t that sure if I will be chosen but after just a single day, they returned to me. I WAS CHOSEN AS A JUNIOR SCIENTIST FOR THE REACH MISSION.

That was the best day of my life. I will be a part of the crew that will save the future of humanity. I will set foot on different planets, fly through quasars, surf with gravitational waves, and explore the unexplored.

We were excited that all 4 companies were going to the new planet at the same time, but we just learned that we don't have enough resources to actually land the ship on Planet Hope and we need to compete with others for the opportunities on the way. I always say, journey before destination.

It was a hard pill to swallow but I'm ready to make my crew the fastest and most successful ship and be the one that makes life multi-planetary.

One last day. And then we are launching. Endless possibilities, wait for me.

Space Race Handbook For Reach Commanders & Become A Permanent Part of The Reach!

Welcome Commanders,

Please read this document carefully to be prepared for the upcoming space journey. This document will provide you with detailed information about your mission you will carry the burden of all humanity and teach you how to stay alive in space without falling into an existential crisis state.

Mission Brief,

You are the commander of a starship. Your goal is to secure a safe landing on our future planet and collect the highest point to win the game. United Space Center has given you dedicated landing locations that have different requirements.

It's the world's first space travel on a big scale so we all are juniors when it comes to space. Neither your crew nor your ship is ready enough to leave the solar system.

(DISCLAIMER: We highly advise you to keep this information secret from your crew to not affect the level of hope inside the ship)

Look Out For  Missions to Expand Your Crew & Upgrade Your Ship

As you travel through space, you will find different mission opportunities varying from planet expeditions to rescue missions.

You need to be faster than other ships to be the first one to complete the missions. Each location that you are in, has a different speed requirement that you should consider while assigning your crew.

(DISCLAIMER: You might be thinking that this mission is for the future of humanity but we are competing against each other. According to some research made by incompetent scientists, humans can complete their tasks more efficiently in a competitive mindset.

(BONUS DISCLAIMER: Stop judging the system.)

To complete these missions, you must assign your crew to different departments. But you should make these assignments secretly from the commanders of the other ships in order to get the upper hand.

Reveal your ships to other players and find out the ship line-up according to speed requirements.

Commanders choose missions according to this line-up and they can complete the mission if their crew layout is sufficient.

As you complete missions, your crew will get experienced and expand with new members, your ship will be upgraded, and you will find different opportunities that will ensure the landing of your ship.

(DISCLAIMER: If you encounter any alien life during these missions, please wave to them in a friendly manner and leave that place immediately. Go to page 42 to get more details about how to wave without being offensive.)

As you come close to the end of your journey, you must prepare your ship for the landing according to your secret landing location.

This is an emergency broadcast by United Space Center. I repeat this is an emergency broadcast!

Dear people of planet Earth,

As you know, our planet is under the effect of constant solar explosions. Unfortunately, these magnetic bursts cause the internet to function at highly-slow speeds. It is still usable but painstakingly slow. The civilization we know is about to collapse.

In light of these circumstances, we, United Space Center, have decided to move the population of Earth to a new planet. After a long-lost search, we have found a new planet that looks exactly like Earth itself... Yeah, it just looks like that but we continue in our research to see if this planet is habitable.

Luckily, it is within our capabilities and we believe, humanity can reach this planet to build a new civilization that has a reasonable internet speed.

We designated 4 big space companies to build spaceships and gather a capable crew that can complete this journey. We believe in their goodwill during this preparation.
